A candlelit haven in the city of San Francisco, Compline at St. John’s is an inclusive evening service of music and prayer. Compline is sung by the voices of Endersnight, an a cappella vocal ensemble specializing in the performance of sacred polyphonic choral repertoire of the 14th-16th centuries. The event is held on the third Sunday of the month at 8:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Evangelist, 1661 Fifteenth Street at Julian Avenue, San Francisco, located two blocks from the 16th St. BART station in the Mission District. Compline is free; all are welcome regardless of religious affiliation.
