A PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIAN SERVICE OPEN TO ALL. Rev. Susan Strouse and First United Lutheran Church in San Francisco, a progressive Christian congregation, will hold "Peace, with a Jazzy Edge," an Advent service at 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 4, at the Interfaith Center at the Presidio. Peace is central to the three major Western religious traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. To express the sentiment “Peace be with you,” Jews often say “Shalom aleichem.” Muslims say “Salaam alaikum.” Christians might say “Pax vobiscum.” Come, light a candle of peace with us on this second Sunday of Advent. Those of any or of no religious/philosophical tradition are most welcome to this service.
